The view to St Mary’s church provides a delightful look back to the 14th century. Inside, it has an impressive wooden pulpit and organ gallery. Next door, Carew Manor is itself a Tudor gem with plenty of surviving period features, most notably the splendid hammerbeam roof.
Timber has remained popular to this day in more modest domestic and commercial buildings. Wooden floors are a good demonstration of its enduring qualities. Along with their natural beauty, they are hygienic and easy to maintain – as well as having the durability to withstand pressure from feet in the home, office, bar, school, gym and restaurant.
And as timber provides the only floor surface that improves with age, a wooden floor can be seen as a means of adding value to your property.
But please look after it. If your floors have seen better days – don’t allow them to stumble along in a state of being tired, scratched or damaged. Restoration provides the means of giving them a new lease of life.
Call us now for the complete wood floor repair and refinishing service in Beddington.
Sanding pine floorboards strips away the old layers of paint and varnish to a smooth, bare finish. The surface may then be stained for a change of colour – and then protected with a layer of lacquer, natural oil or hardwax.
Restoration is no longer a dusty and messy job, as our cylinder machines offer virtually dust free sanding. And we keep your closure and loss of business to a minimum by working flexible hours – at weekends or even overnight.
Whatever your floors need – and whether they are composed of hardwood boards, parquet blocks, herringbone, bamboo or cork - we provide every service. From the repair and replacement of damaged timber to filling in gaps to prevent draughts.
For period floors, as in parquetry floor restoration, we ensure an authentic finish by finding matching blocks from reclaimed sources. Your new floor will be as good as - or better than - the original.
