The development of English building is obvious when one compares examples from the Tudor, Georgian or Regency era with a modern bungalow. Yet many features remain a constant for their quality and utility. Yes, the natural wooden floor still reigns supreme.
From hardwood and softwood boards, bamboo, herringbone, parquet blocks... No other surface improves with age, adding value to properties as diverse as offices and gyms; schools and bars; galleries and restaurants.
And no other – after wear, tear and damage - can be so easily restored to its original beauty.
So transform your tired and marked floors with wood floor restoration through floor sanding from a specialist company.
Sanding Wood Floors provide the complete wood floor repair and refinishing service in Havering.
Whatever the condition of your floor, we will strip away the old layers of dirt, paint and sealant. The smooth wood may then be stained if you require a new colour - and then protected with a fresh finish of lacquer for wear; hardwax or oil for natural beauty.
And all with a minimum of mess and disruption. We’ll work flexibly to adjust to your schedule – at weekends or even overnight if required. Modern sanding is virtually dust free with the efficient collection of our cylinder machines.

Useful facts about Havering:
Lying on the easternmost edge of the capital and with half its land designated as green belt, Havering is more Essex than London. The main towns of Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster were built around the railway and then the District underground line as it moved eastwards, although even within these extensive developments there`s more space between and surroundings the houses than in any other borough.
The name Havering is a reference to the Royal Liberty of Havering (1465 to 1892), an ancient manor – an area ruled by a lord or seigneur – and liberty (a local government unit). The manor was in the possession of the Crown from the 11th to the 19th centuries and was the location of Havering Palace from the 13th to the late 17th centuries.
The London Borough of Havering was created in 1965 by the combined former area of the Municipal Borough of Romford and Hornchurch Urban District which had been transferred to Greater London from Essex by the London Government Act 1963. The name originates from the Royal Liberty of Havering which covered broadly, but not exactly, the same area and had been abolished in 1892.
