St Mary’s Church is full of surprises inside and out – a medieval survivor among the 20th century factories and houses. From its lych gate and south porch to the original roofs, it is testament to the versatility and beauty of timber. These virtues are equally apparent in the trusty durability of that ever popular feature: the natural wooden floor.
They enhance all kinds of domestic and commercial properties - from homes, schools and offices to galleries, bars and restaurants - they add value as they develop character with age.
So they are worthy of regular care and attention – and a facelift on occasion. When time and feet have taken their toll, banish those marks and shabbiness with the modern solution. Repair and restoration from a specialist floor sanding company.
Sanding Wood Floors provide the complete wood floor refinishing and polishing service in Hayes.

Did you know about Hayes?
Hayes is a town in the London Borough of Hillingdon, West London. It is a suburban development situated 13 miles (21 km) west of Charing Cross. Hayes was developed in the late 19th and 20th centuries as an industrial locality to which residential districts were later added in order to house factory workers. Its development is typical of the Second Industrial Revolution – the creation of new light engineering industries on the edge of existing cities. Hayes has a very long history, though, as the place-names of the area indicate.
Until the end of the 19th century, Hayes (West London) was primarily an agricultural and brickmaking area. However, because of its location on the Grand Junction Canal (later called the Grand Union) and the Great Western Railway it had a number of advantages as an industrial location in the late 19th century. It was because of this proximity that the Hayes Development Company offered sites on the north side of the railway, adjacent to the canal.
Hayes has always been heavily involved with industry, both local and international, and is (or has been) the home of EMI, Nestlé and H. J. Heinz Company. Past companies include Fairey Aviation (later merged with Westland), and HMV. An early occupier was the Gramophone Company, later His Master's Voice and latterly EMI. Only the EMI archives and some early reinforced concrete factory buildings (notably one by Evan Owen Williams, later knighted) remain as The Old Vinyl Factory.
