Weatherboarded cottages also extol the practical virtues of timber - as well as its visual qualities. The same holds true within local properties, where wooden floors remain as popular as ever.
So if you are fortunate to possess such a feature: in the home, office, restaurant, school, gym or shop, make sure it’s earning its keep – as an enhancement – rather than a shabby embarrassment. A tired or damaged surface can be restored within a short time with the services of a specialist restoration company.
Sanding Wood Floors provide the complete wooden floor sanding and sealing service in Cheam.
Whatever your type of floor - softwood, hardwood or parquet - call on our twenty years’ experience of restoration for the best advice and treatment.
After making repairs to damaged timber - and filling gaps if you require - we’ll sand to remove old layers of dirt, paint and sealant. The smooth bare wood is now ready for staining - for a change of colour - and the new essential protection of lacquer, natural oil or hardwax.
Forget about dust and mess. Our modern cylinder machines can provide virtually dustfree sanding. And ask us about flexible hours - at weekends or even overnight - to minimise any closure and loss of business.
Your period floor will come up like the original surface. After replacing any damaged blocks, we create an authentic finish with herringbone, mosaic or parquet floor sanding and sealing.
Ask us for your free assessment. We’ll devise a restoration package to meet your budget. Your new floor will look good - and offer outstanding long term value.

Useful facts about Cheam:
Cheam is a large suburban village in the London Borough of Sutton, England, and is located just inside the southern boundary of Greater London where it meets Surrey. It is divided into two main areas: North Cheam and Cheam Village. North Cheam includes more retail shops and supermarkets, whilst Cheam Village and the south of Cheam are more residential. The Village does, however, constitute a small retail and restaurant quarter in its own right. Cheam is bordered by Worcester Park (to the north-west), Morden (to the north-east), Sutton (to the east), Ewell (to the west) as well as Banstead and Belmont to the South.
Cheam Village is centred on the crossroads between Sutton, North Cheam, South Cheam and Ewell. As well as bus services, it is served by Cheam mainline station which is in London Travelcard Zone 5 and one stop from Sutton, about a mile away, and two from Epsom, about two miles away. Services from Cheam to central London include direct trains to Victoria which take about half-an-hour. It has several historic buildings, including some which date back several centuries, such as Nonsuch Mansion, Whitehall and Lumley Chapel and a Georgian former Rectory.
North Cheam is situated about a mile north of the Cheam Village at the crossroad between Cheam Village and Worcester Park, Epsom and Morden. There are well established bus services serving the area, including services 213 (Sutton to Kingston), 151 (Wallington to Worcester Park), 93 (North Cheam to Putney Bridge) and the less frequent X26 express service between Heathrow Airport and Croydon.
